About the artists

Her works of art focus on the concept of home, community, and heritage. She has an interest in the analysis of the assimilation of the past and the relation between human beings and objects. The pieces of her art are mainly presented as installations created as the combination of different objects and art techniques, like photographs, paper collage, ceramics, and stones.

Recently, her interest has been drawn toward more abstract images and the creation of hybrid pictures through the examination and consequent deconstruction of such classic photographic genres as portraiture. The principal focus of her analysis is on pushing the boundary conditions of the shape of a face to abstract limits. She purposefully employs silhouettes to examine the relationships and boundaries between the image and the spatial object.
